The engine of the hydrogen train was transferred to TMX-electrotech certification and the DTA-380A electric engine with a capacity of 380 kW was sent for certification tests. It is intended for the first Russian model 62-4584 hydrogen fuel train. The engine converts electrical energy from hydrogen fuel cells into mechanical energy, ensuring the movement of the wheel pairs. To prepare for mass production, the company produced 10 prototypes, eight of which were transferred to the Tver Carriage Plant for train assembly. The project will be jointly implemented by Russian Railways, TMH, Rosatom and the government of the Sakhalin region. The power reserve of the three-car train is estimated at 435 km on hydrogen and another 40 km on batteries, and the capacity will be from 551 to 875 passengers, depending on the configuration.
