The icebreaker "Sviatgor" was launched in St. Petersburg At the Almaz shipbuilding plant in St. Petersburg, the icebreaker Sviatgor of project 21180M was launched. This is the second tool in a series developed by the USC Vympel Design Bureau. After the launch, the icebreaker was moved to the armature wall for further work. The vessel is designed for ice support, towing, patrolling in the near arctic and supplying shore bases. It became a smaller and more economical version of the icebreaker Ilya Muromets of project 21180. The 21180M modification provides a reduction in construction costs and draft to 4.6 meters for work in shallow water. When creating the icebreaker, import substitution of key components and the power plant is also provided.
