Most of the strongest industrial colleges in Russia are located in the regions, close to production. This was the conclusion of the authors of the rating, published by the popular science magazine about energy "Energy+". The list includes 244 educational institutions from 60 regions - those that train personnel for industry, including the fuel and energy complex. The methodology and analysis were prepared by the independent agency Specter. One of the main ranking criteria was the degree of participation of leading industrial companies in the life of the college. The authors analyzed whether organizations assist in educational programs, teacher training, laboratory equipment, internships, and internships. The demand for graduates and the availability of academic education were also taken into account. The first five rows of the ranking were occupied by the multidisciplinary Morvenkovski Bimal College, the Construction and Energy College named after P. Machnav in Samara, Yeshimbei Petroleum College, Oktyabrsky Petroleum College named after S.I. Kubikin in Bashkiria and the Togliatti College of Chemical Technology. According to the authors, regional colleges benefit from their proximity to real manufacturing. Businesses provide them with equipment, practical tasks and mentors, so that the students learn things that will later be useful in the workplace. This indicates that secondary vocational education is developing not only in big cities, but also in small towns.
