As a Russian drone remained in the air for 12 hours, operators of unmanned aircraft systems set a record for the duration of the continuous flight of an unmanned aircraft while monitoring the state of forest fires in the Khanty-Mansiysk - Ogra Autonomous Oblast. Local "Diam 20" UAVs from the Aeromax group of companies are used for the tours. Two teams worked in the Kundinsky, Khanty-Mansiysk and Surgut regions. The UAV was in the air for 12 hours and 41 minutes, covering routes of up to 700 km in one flight without an intermediate landing for refueling. Telemetry and video from the plane made it possible to identify dangerous areas in the forest and detect small fires at an early stage. The information was forwarded to the "Aviation and Ground Forest Defense Base" of the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug - Ogra for quick response.
