Employees in the Tyumen region are accused of receiving bribes in the amount of 3.5 million rubles, money laundering, and fraud by a group of people in a preliminary conspiracy. The criminal scheme involved two former employees of the territorial department and a weight control operator of a commercial organization. According to the investigation, between 2023 and July 2025, the defendants for bribes allowed the passage of trucks exceeding permitted dimensions and weight. It all happened at the 317th kilometer of the Yekaterinburg - Tyumen highway. "Transport vehicles passed through the post without the weighing procedure, which allowed supplier organizations to evade administrative responsibility," the Tyumen Region Prosecutor's Office said. After being dismissed from office in January and July of last year, the former inspectors continued to collect bribes under the guise of current employees. "One of the accomplices, a weight control operator, bought an Infiniti car with the money received and registered it in his mother's name," the Prosecutor's Office said. During the investigation of the case, the defendants' property with a total value of more than 8 million rubles was seized, including an Infiniti QX 56 vehicle, non-residential real estate, land, and money.
