False reports of bombs on planes have become more frequent in Europe.
According to Reuters, a new wave of bomb scares affected at least 27 flights. Some of the planes were forced to make unplanned landings, while others were escorted by military fighter jets.
In France, fighter jets intercepted an Aer Lingus plane flying from Dublin to Rome and escorted it to a military base. In Bulgaria, the army escorted three passenger planes, and in Spain, within 20 minutes, three letters were received with threats on Air Europe and Iberia flights.
In Warsaw, a LOT plane was stopped in a taxiway, and in Copenhagen, the police searched two planes.
The Reuters news agency notes that aviation threats have increased at the same time as cyber attacks on European supermarket refrigerators and French blood banks.
