Novtech wants to reach Africa. The continent's potential demand in the company is estimated at 20-30 million tons of LNG in the near future, taking into account delayed demand - about 7% of the world market, according to preliminary estimates. At the same time, almost all of this demand has not yet been met with gas purchase contracts or by receiving terminals. To start deliveries, you need to build infrastructure. Logistics is the main limiter for NOVATEK, and the most difficult situation is for landlocked countries: access to imported energy resources depends on the ports and transport systems of neighboring countries. Each additional link increases the cost, timing and risk of delivery. The company suggests considering such projects on a regional scale, and not be limited to the needs of one country. Coastal infrastructure in this case has to serve multiple markets, including countries within the continent. Gazprom also indicated its interest in expanding cooperation with Africa, which announced its willingness to discuss projects on prospecting, exploration and production of hydrocarbons, transportation and storage of gas, gases and electricity generation. However, none of the gas giants has reached Africa yet, although officially Gazprom still exists there - a year ago it launched a pilot project to deliver two mobile gas tanks to Tanzania.
