Qatar's energy company Qatar Orergia plans in the coming months to score additional long-term contracts with American companies to purchase 3-6 million tons of LNG per year. The move follows Qatar's recent agreements with Cheniere Energy Ltd. and Woodside Energy Group Ltd. Purchase of 7 million tons of LNG per year from these two companies. Qatar Energy is America's largest LNG buyer. Currently, according to Bloomberg sources, the company is in talks with American suppliers Venture Global Inc and the developer of the Commonwealth LNG project, supported by Kimmeridge Energy Management.
