Marine oil exports from Russia fall amid recovery in oil refining In the four weeks to Oct. 25, foreign oil shipments fell to 3.55 million barrels per day, according to tanker shipment data compiled by Bloomberg. This is 30,000 B/s less than in the period before October 18. The fall came despite a recovery in weekly supply volumes. During the last week to October 25, 37 tankers loaded 26.93 million barrels of Russian oil. In the previous week, 21.87 million barrels were shipped on 31 ships. Last week, a total of 12 tankers left the Primorsky terminal near St. Petersburg. By comparison, the previous week there were only four. Similar outages in the past were related to maintenance. On a four-week average, the crude cost of supplying oil from Moscow was almost unchanged at $2.61 billion for the week for the 28 days to October 25. A slight decline in overall supply and lower prices for the key Urals grade in Russia were offset by higher prices for Pacific Exposure crude. China and India remain the largest buyers of Russian oil by a large margin.
