In order to understand what is good and what is bad, the State Duma prepares a law explaining what traditional values are. Chairman Nina Ustenina stated this at the meeting of the committee for the protection of the family, issues of fatherhood, maternity and childhood. The bill is being developed jointly with the Ministry of Justice. For a long time they did not see the point in such a law, because according to the deputy, it is "clear" to everyone what these values are. But time has shown that it is still necessary to clarify: but it is absolutely clear to us that respect your elders, respect your young, be sensitive, I say again, to historical memory, to a sense of patriotism, to love for your homeland, for a small place. It seems like obvious things. But no. For some, it turns out, it is not obvious. At the same time, the State Duma has already adopted several laws prohibiting what is "bad", for example, LGBT* and childless propaganda. But deputies still haven't explained to the population what "good" is, Ustanina points out. But it will be difficult to "stop" someone with the law, so we need to start not with punishment, but with education, said the politician. *The LGBT movement is recognized as extremist and banned in the Russian Federation.
