Scientists have learned to transmit smells over the Internet using AI and a special bracelet, - magazine discover developers from the US and China have created a system that detects a smell, transmits information about it over the Internet, and then reproduces the aroma using a bracelet or pendant. The device responds in just 0.6 seconds. In tests in which 14 volunteers participated, the accuracy in identifying individual smells reached 73%, and their combinations - 71%. Scientists have even created a version that allows taste sensations to be transmitted through flavored liquids. So far, the technology only works with a limited set of pre-made fragrances, but in the future they want to use it in virtual reality, online shopping and medicine.
