The plan to amend the Dowry Law is awaiting a decision on the objections of the Council of Guardians and the Recognition Assembly. Muhammad Sargazi, head of the legal and judicial committee of the parliament, announced the continuation of the investigation of the objections of the Council of Guardians of the Constitution and the Supreme Supervisory Board of the Feasibility Council on the amendment of the Dowry Law. According to him, a dedicated committee was established in the presence of the representatives of the responsible institutions and intensive meetings are held to examine and formulate reform proposals. Sargazi expressed hope that the proposals of this committee will be presented to the committee in the next two weeks, so that after the inspection, the plan will be transferred to the open floor of the parliament to resolve the issues and make a decision. In this way, the dowry plan has not yet reached the final approval and its continuation depends on the elimination of the deficiencies of the supervisory authorities.
