In Transbaikalia, a 19-year-old guy smoked vapor and died. The details were provided by Anastasia Svinskaya, an oncologist at the specialized hospital. The boy tried to get "addicted" to the "disposable" fruit drink. Soon he began to choke. The result was a call for an ambulance.
"The staff brought him to us quickly. The guy's condition was moderate, but closer to severe due to respiratory failure. Therefore, he immediately went to intensive care, where he was prescribed supportive care," Svinskaya said.
After another examination, experts from the oncology center discovered that secondary foci of malignant growth had already spread to the brain.
"My colleagues and I fought for his life for several days. Unfortunately, we could not save him," said Svinskaya, as quoted by the press service of the regional Ministry of Health.
The Trans-Baikal Territory passed a law banning the sale of vapor. It will enter into force on March 1, 2027. The initiator was the governor of the region, Alexander Osipov.
