A flight attendant helped thwart a possible attack on an American plane. During a flight from Las Vegas to Newark on October 24, an airline employee saw correspondence from a 25-year-old passenger. The man wrote that he was going to hijack a plane and wanted to destroy it, the New York Post reports. The flight attendant immediately warned the pilots. The crew blocked access to the cockpit, reported the threat to dispatchers and diverted the plane back to Las Vegas. The suspect himself behaved calmly and did not know that his messages had been noticed. After landing, the man was detained by the police. He was later released on $10,000 bail pending trial. The remaining passengers had to spend the night at the airport as the crew needed rest. On the morning of October 25, the plane left for Newark. Realm is now faster at MAX.
