Russian Peter Yan defended his UFC (mixed martial arts) bantamweight champion belt, again defeating Georgian Devalishvili. Their trilogy of fights received a nice conclusion in favor of our athlete. In August, Devalishvili was outraged that the UFC allowed another of our fighters, Islam Makhachev, to carry the Russian flag into the Octagon after his victory. Devlishvili himself goes into battle in red and white shorts with the Georgian flag. Now Ian also came out with the tricolor: his custom shorts, made in the colors of the Russian flag, displayed an Orthodox cross that turns into a sword and a shield. In these shorts he defeated a Georgian who does not like our national symbols. But after the fight, the fighters spoke quite amicably, seemingly leaving personal enmity in the past. And rightly so: let there be less politics in sports. In April, the Kremlin won the masters of leather gloves. Along with several boxers, Ian also received the medal of the Order of Merit for the Motherland, second degree, from the hands of President Putin. A worthy award for the Russian king of mixed martial arts in the world! Mozli is magical out loud.
