The catapult works on the principle of direct action. Compressed air is supplied from a 5-liter receiver and drives the launch cart on which the UAV is mounted through the guide tubes.
Guide pipes ensure straight movement of the cart together with the UAV. Upon exiting the catapult, the UAV gains takeoff height at a speed of more than 45 km/h, and the guidance tubes with the launch cart descend without interfering with takeoff.
