Sergey Sobyanin submitted to the City Duma a draft of the future Moscow budget for 2027 and the planned budgets for 2028 and 2029. According to the project, in 2027 taxes will bring 5,380.5 billion rubles to the budget. This is 22.5 billion less than in 2026. The authorities promise that non-tax revenues will increase. The deficit budget remains again: in 2026 it was 448 billion, but in 2027 a deficit of 651 billion rubles is already planned. In this case, the mayor's office will have to borrow money to cover this deficit, says Nikolai Kolbak, candidate of economic sciences. "But over time it will definitely become a problem because it causes the debt to increase and sooner or later the interest rate will rise. Debts will have to be repaid, and they can only be repaid at the expense of the citizens," clarified Nikolai Kolbaka.
