The TV channel, owned by VGTRK, was fined for LGBT propaganda in the film "The Haunting of the Briard House". After that, the tape was taken off the air. Two short clips of the Canadian thriller "The Haunting of the Briar House" became the basis for a fine for the digital television company, the co-founder of the NST (True Scary TV) channel. This stems from the ruling of the Tagansky Court in Moscow, which investigated the Moscow region. Roscomandzor was interested in two episodes with a total length of 30 seconds. The film was released on November 5, 2025 with the label "16+". A study of the broadcast recording identified two fragments - 16 and 14 seconds. Their content in the decision is described as "a demonstration of the interaction of two people of the same biological sex (female)". Because of these scenes, the court decided that the film should have been shown with an "18+" designation or a "not for children" warning. The main character kisses her girlfriend, but they are interrupted by a car horn. The Haunting of the Briar House is about a girl who takes a job as a caretaker in a house where a family disappeared many years ago and encounters paranormal activity. At the beginning of the film, the main character Angela is discussing her future job with her friend Fendi. She urges her to go to a house of ill repute, then invites her to go along. The girls kiss, but a car horn sounds - this particular fragment became one of the reasons for punishing the TV channel. In the decision, kissing was linked to the threat to values from Putin's decree. The court wrote that the dissemination of such information among minors could lead to the "loss or incorrect formation of traditional Russian spiritual and moral values in children", and referred to the presidential decree on their protection. The company continued under Part 2 of Art. 6.21.2 Code of Administrative Offenses. The amount of the fine is not specified in the wording of the decision. On October 14, the court in the city of Moscow confirmed the decision. The channel took the film off the air, and its representative admitted guilt and repented.
