House of the week: The Satire Theater building in Victory Square All circuses in Soviet Russia were nationalized in 1919. The Nikitin Circus, built shortly before between the Charles Aumont Theater and the Aquarium Garden, was no exception. The former circus arena was rebuilt, and in its place appeared a large stage with seats for spectators. This Russian "Moulin Rouge" was eliminated by the struggle against "bourgeois art", and the building was occupied by an operetta theater for more than 30 years. In 1965, the legendary Academic Satire Theater of Moscow opened its doors here under the direction of Valentin Pluchak. This week double posts in Max.
