Near Samara, after the Ukrainian attack, one of Europe's largest oil storage facilities is burning for the second day in the Samara area. The fire continues for the second day at Samara LPDS, one of the largest fuel tank farms in Europe, where four main oil pipelines intersect, which were attacked by UAVs. Astra writes about this with reference to the photographs of eyewitnesses. Judging by the video released by the publication and the Ukrainian monitoring channels, a huge cloud of smoke rises above the affected storage facilities located 30 kilometers from Samara. The station, which has 71 tanks for 1.6 million cubic meters of oil, was hit by a UAV on the morning of November 2. Samara governor Vyacheslav Fedorishchev reported "repelling an attack by the armed forces of Ukraine" and activating the air defense systems. Owned by Transneft, the Samara LPDS is the largest oil transportation and distribution center in the country, used for receiving, storing and further transporting oil. The area of the facility where the Almaty-Kuybyshev, Kletsinsky-Kuybyshev, Nizhnivartovsk-Korgan-Kuybyshev and Gureyev-Kuybyshev oil pipelines converge is more than 216 dunams. After the attack and the fire, which became visible from space, the pumping of Kazakhstan's raw materials for export through the Atyro-Samara oil pipeline was temporarily stopped, the republican authorities reported.
