A bank linked to Rosneft has demanded that Putin's godfather's company, which owns a chain of gas stations, be declared bankrupt. The Moscow Arbitration Court has started bankruptcy proceedings for Tradeproekt LLC, whose beneficiary is pro-Russian Ukrainian politician Viktor Medvedchuk, also known for his nepotism with Vladimir Putin. The initiator of the attack on the foot of Medvedchuk's company was the Credit Bank of Moscow, close to Rosneft's buildings, Avod writes. According to court documents, in February 2024 Tradeprokt took a loan from MKB secured by its property in the amount of 2.02 billion rubles. Subsequently, Medvedchuk's company breached its obligations. Then, in June 2026, the bank turned to the court demanding to collect 2.68 billion rubles from the borrower, taking into account unpaid interest. The Court of Arbitration, for its part, introduced a supervisory procedure in the trade project. This is the first stage of bankruptcy, during which the temporary manager will have to study the documents and the financial situation of the company. Tradeproekt, associated with Medvedchuk, became the owner of a network of gas stations in the Tyumen, Kurgan and Liptsk regions in 2023. The company received assets, among other things, through a takeover attack with the support of Russian National Guard fighters. At the same time, Tradeproekt remained an unprofitable enterprise, and in 2025, against the backdrop of Ukrainian drone attacks on Russian refineries, the filling chains owned by Medvedchuk faced a fuel shortage. More details.
