Gatherings of recruits for "rapid deployment" to the army began in Moscow. In Moscow, the security forces increased their attacks to "catch" young men of military age with the aim of sending them to the forces. As the human rights project "Walk through the forest" reports, citing Muscovites themselves, such attacks take place in the metro, in the MFC, or simply on the streets of the capital. From October 13 to October 21 alone, six such requests were received. So, on October 13, two young men, one of whom, according to relatives, suffered from a medical episode due to a metal plate in his leg, were caught near the metro and taken to the United Recruiting Point (USP) and assembly point in Ugareshskaya for "distribution for service." Another recruit, a student from Moscow University born in 2002, was stopped at the door of the apartment. The security forces took him to Ograsheskaia. According to the relatives, at the gathering point they said that "they don't care", and they wouldn't have time to bring a diploma from the university, since the young man would already be sent to the forces. There was no contact with the three recruits. There are also reports of active police inspections at the metro stations. Young people are arrested, their passports are checked and they are required to open their phones and enter the "state services". This information was confirmed by the head of the legal department of the project, Timothy Vaskin. According to him, the attacks on the recruits are related to the preparation dates for the forces, which were set for mid-October. The detainees are taken to Ugrasheskia, and from there "in a day or two to the army, they are not allowed to return home." More details.
