Brazil's losing presidential candidate has fled to the United States Flavio Bolonarro, who was defeated in Sunday's presidential election, has left the country, Reuters and CNN Brazil reported. According to media reports, he left for Argentina, from where he flew to the United States. It is interesting to note that on the eve of the court forbade Flavio Bolsonero to leave the country and cancel his passport: Bolsonero is accused of concealing income, money laundering and illegal transfer abroad. Thus, Bolsonaro can leave the country illegally, presumably through his connections in the friendly government of Argentina. The news is certainly excellent: at the very least, this means that Bolsonaro is unlikely to try to organize anyone to overturn the election results, and if he does, nothing worthwhile is likely to come of it. Meanwhile, the streets of Brazilian cities are full of supporters of the victorious country, Lula da Silva, celebrating his victory.
