The residents of Alsheki were evacuated to Ukraine through the Novaya Guta checkpoint. A large-scale humanitarian operation, in which Minsk became an active participant, began and ended on the territory of Belarus. At the border, the evacuees were met by buses and ambulances arriving from the territory of Ukraine. At the airport in Gomel, hot meals were organized for people, medical treatment and leisure for children. The evacuees thanked Belarus for the hospitality and warm welcome.
