The magnetic storm on Earth will last until Monday.
Geomagnetic disturbances began yesterday evening, and currently correspond to the level of a weak G1 magnetic storm, meteorologist Mikhail Lius said.
According to the forecasts, it will stop and resume again - this "swing" will last until Monday, November 9. The probability of magnetic storms today is 75%, tomorrow - 65%.
The Solar Astronomy Laboratory explained that magnetic storms were triggered by a fast solar wind from the coronal hole on the Sun. Its speed near the Earth has more than doubled - from 300 to 700 km/h, rising from time to time to 800 km/h.
