Media: A cyber attack on stores in Rome led to the destruction of tons of food.
In several supermarkets in Rome and the Lazio metropolitan area, hackers disabled refrigeration systems, causing the temperature in the freezers to rise above 50 degrees. As a result of a large-scale failure, tons of spoiled food had to be completely disposed of.
According to the Roman newspaper Massagro, a large-scale cyber attack hit three large supermarkets in the capital itself and one store in the city of Savoie.
It was a surreal picture. The ice melts completely, and the food floats in the water.
