A 33-year-old resident of Primorye died due to vaporization. He was first diagnosed with pneumonia, and then transferred to an anti-tuberculosis clinic, where disseminated tuberculosis and irreversible pulmonary fibrosis were discovered. He admitted that he has been smoking for 17 years, most of the time vaping. Doctors immediately began treatment, but the patient's condition worsened. Against the background of prolonged chemical intoxication, the young man developed acute leukemia: the level of leukocytes increased rapidly, and exceeded almost 17 times the norm. The patient was transferred to intensive care, but even there the respiratory failure increased. Despite the efforts of the doctors, they were unable to save him. The Ministry of Health stated that vaping undermines the local immunity of the respiratory system: among active electronic cigarette smokers, the risk of tuberculosis increases four to five times.
