The US State Department has approved the possibility of selling 500 missiles for Patriot air defense systems to Ukraine.
The estimated value of the deal is about 2.1 billion dollars, and it is planned that the purchase will be financed by Kyiv's partners and allies. The ministry's press release reports that in addition to the missiles themselves, the Ukrainian side requested classified and unclassified spare parts for the PAC-3 MSE. We are talking about a potential deal, not a contract that has already been signed. Details of the delivery date or financing conditions do not appear in the notice.
