After a divorce, a man demanded to see his cat on weekends, but the court refused him. In Amsterdam, the former couple spent two years sorting things out in the courts. After the breakup, the cat stayed with the woman, but her ex-husband demanded to schedule appointments with the pet. He wanted to take the animal home every week or every weekend. The woman spoke out against it. According to her, the cat is already an adult, seriously ill and in need of constant care. In addition, after the move, the ex-husband apparently had no interest in the animal and did not help pay for veterinary services. The court did not set a schedule for the meetings, explaining that Dutch law does not provide for such a procedure for pets.
