A policeman found a card of a deceased Muscovite and lived on it for a few months. The police captain from Chertanovo took advantage of the fact that after the woman's death, her phone and bank card were kept in the office safe. One day he waited for a colleague to leave, took out the deceased's belongings and found a note with a pin code. After that, the district policeman began regularly withdrawing money from ATMs. With the tens of thousands of stolen rubles he paid off bank debts and bought clothes for his wife and children. However, a few months later, the deceased's cousin learned from a notary public that the money continued to disappear from her relative's account. She contacted the police, and the captain was exposed. According to the MK, the court sentenced the man to five years in prison and a two-year ban on fulfilling the duties of a government representative. Photo: Mikhail Kovalev.
