The Tarasa gas station chain has stopped operating. It was one of the largest independent gas station chains in Moscow and the Moscow region.
All 53 Tarasa gas stations located in the Moscow region are not operating, Interfax reports, citing the regional energy ministry.
About 1,400 terrace workers were sent to forced shutdown. They receive 2/3 of their salary, but the money is not paid due to the seizure of the company's accounts, the Energy Ministry of the Moscow region added.
The Tarasa gas station operated for about 30 years. It ranks second in terms of sales among independent operators in Moscow and the Moscow region.
During the fuel crisis and the resulting increase in wholesale gasoline prices, the company's revenues decreased and profits gave way to losses.
