The Swedish company Saab has proposed to organize the production of the JAS-39 Griffin fighter jets in Canada as part of the formation of a mixed fleet of fighter jets, which also includes the F-35. The industrial part of the proposal includes the creation of a production center in Canada for the production of the JAS-39 Griffin and cooperation with Canadian factories. As part of Saab's industrial package, the key center for the production and support of Griffin fighters will likely be located in Greater Montreal (Quebec).
