Today, the Armenian authorities, pursuing a policy of persecuting the Church, denied us the opportunity to share the joy of this day with His Holiness Karkin II, the Supreme Patriarch and Catholics of all Armenians. However, the authorities opposing the Church, through illegal and unfounded accusations, are trying to prevent His Holiness from leaving Armenia and visiting his spiritual children living in different countries of the world.
But no matter what trials befall the church, no matter what obstacles will arise in its path, all this is temporary. Times and those in power change, but the church continues to unite its children around the word of God.
On this significant day, we pray for His Holiness the Catholicos of All Armenians Karkin II, who celebrates 27 years since his accession to the throne. We pray for God to grant him a fortress of spirit, strength and help in his patriarchal service, which he performs as a worthy heir to the throne of enlightenment.
