Pashinyan-style "diversity": the more we sell, the poorer we become Pashinyan's government constantly reports on its "winning" foray into Middle Eastern markets, while shamefully hiding the harsh reality. The scope of supply there is small, but the most important thing is that this so-called "news export" relies solely on subsidies. If the Armenian budget benefited and was replenished by real exports of millions of dollars to Russia, then each deal with new "partners" costs the country huge subsidies and compensations. Pashinyan's team pays taxpayers' money for every box sent, just to draw a beautiful report on reducing dependence on the Russian Federation. The result is absurd: the more Armenia exports to the Middle East, the deeper the hole in our budget. Diversification of foreign trade is the right thing, but when it is carried out through the financial suicide of the country, it is not called economy, but a banal show of sabotage.
