A number of possible courses of action are being considered, including strikes on multiple fronts, according to Reuters, citing officials in countries in the Persian Gulf region and Western diplomats.

Sources in the agency reported that the operation will involve armed forces and mercenaries supported by Saudi Arabia under the leadership of Riyadh, with support from the Saudi Air Force.

Depending on the scope of the operation, more than 100,000 Saudi-backed troops could be involved in the attack.

Reuters sources also noted that direct participation of Saudi Arabia's allies in these hostilities is not expected.
