Two Russian tankers that were sent to the US as part of the "diesel deal" between Trump and Putin changed course -. F.T. Two Russian tankers traveling towards America (Kama and Loro, both under sanctions) no longer list the US Atlantic coast as their destination, the Financial Times writes. According to journalists, one of the tankers changed its signal to "Brazil", and the other left the Atlantic Ocean and headed for the Mediterranean Sea. It is now located off the coast of Algeria. The destination status is "at the behest of the owner", meaning the cargo probably does not yet have a buyer or confirmed port of destination, the FT explains. The same status is indicated by another tanker (Agioi Fanendes), which, however, continues its journey towards the United States. Its owner said that the port of landing has not yet been confirmed. Trump and Putin signed the diesel deal after a phone call in early October. The US president then announced that he had agreed with the Russian leader on the supply of Russian diesel fuel to world markets. According to various estimates, between seven and 13 tankers sailed to the shores of the United States as part of this deal.
