On the interactive panels installed in schools in Moscow, a module was discovered that, on command from the server, turns on the microphone and makes an audio recording of what is happening in the classroom. The corresponding analysis is published on GitHub. The module can be installed through the remote management system of the Department of Information Technologies in Moscow (it). As the author of the study points out, there are two versions - the current one and the previous one. The earlier one is called "Agent for audio recording of a lesson", and the current one has the mention of recording removed, it is called "Agent takes care of holding a lesson". The package installs a background process that runs without user interaction. It independently activates the microphone, records sound and sends the file to these servers - then deletes a copy of the recording from the device. Open a website Mirror | telegram.
