The Anna Politkovskaya Museum is an office in the editorial office of Novaya Gazeta, where the journalist who was killed in 2006 worked. In this room were kept Politkovskaya's computer, letters to the editor addressed to her, personal belongings as well as a restored memorial plaque from the house on Lesnia Street where Politkovskaya was shot (the original plaque was broken). This photo was taken in 2021, when Novaya Gazeta had just opened the Politkovskaya Museum. On October 30, Novaya Gazeta announced its closure: it was evicted from the house where the newspaper worked for several decades. Along with Novaya, the Politkovskaya Museum will also be closed.
