Sergey Lavrov will participate in the G20 foreign ministers' meeting in the United States. As stated by Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova, Russia intends to use Lavrov's visit to promote proposals to strengthen "the foundations of a multipolar world." The summit will be held in Atlanta on October 30-31. Sergei Lavrov has been subject to US sanctions since the beginning of the great Russian-Ukrainian war. Nevertheless, he has since visited the United States several times to attend meetings of the United Nations General Assembly.
