Political scientist Alexander Kinev started a hunger strike in a pre-trial detention center. According to lawyer Mikhail Biryukov, the reason for the hunger strike was the inability to use the toilet in a crowded cell where, in addition to Kinev, there are 34 other people. "There is a hole in the floor where there is a toilet [in the cell], and because of the cast on his leg, which is broken in two places, he cannot go to the toilet. That's why he doesn't eat. We have taken all possible measures to ensure that he will be transferred today to conditions suitable for his health condition," said the lawyer.
