Another 16 air defense towers have appeared around Putin's residence in Valdai, Radio Liberty has learned. In total, there are already about 50 of them - almost half of Moscow and its surroundings. In October, at least 15 new towers appeared within a 50-kilometer radius of Vladimir Putin's residence in Voldai, which will likely contain anti-aircraft missile systems of Pants or Tor, writes Radio Liberty, which studied satellite images. A ring of towers appeared to the south of the residence - as journalists explain, from the direction in which Ukraine lies. One of the towers of the "outer ring" was built back in March 2026, on the territory of the Hotilovo military base, from where the residence can be reached by train along a railway line built especially for this purpose. According to an OSINT analyst who writes on the social network X under the nickname, Russia currently has about 177 towers with short-range air defense systems. About 98 are located in Moscow and its surroundings, about 50 around the residence in Valdai. Photo: Jambov/X.
