Catalan police arrested 128 people in Barcelona after disturbances in the city center that occurred on the evening of October 24 in the Plaza de Catalunya area. A group of protesters gathered in the city center destroyed and looted 23 shops and set 33 fires. 14 police officers were injured, four of them seriously. The protest was organized by the anonymous platform Blocus, which called for the French demonstrations for "the dignity of the Lycians" to be repeated in the major cities of Spain.
