The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) ordered the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) to immediately admit the Russian team to international tournaments. This decision surprised everyone, including the Russian team itself. It is not even clear how to implement this decision from a technical point of view - after all, the lists of participants in the major tournaments for the current season were formed a long time ago.
