The European Union and Canada are launching an alliance for the future to deepen economic and security cooperation, strengthen supply chains and build a common economic security space. The landmark initiative includes closer cooperation on defence, critical minerals, energy, artificial intelligence, semiconductors and digital trade, alongside new agreements on cross-border data flows, investment and competition policy.
