The prosecutor's office of the Kostroma district sent to the court criminal cases against the head of the pathology department of the regional hospital and the order of the morgues. The manager is accused of accepting bribes on an extremely large scale and exceeding official authority, and the orderly is accused of giving bribes on an extremely large scale. According to the investigation, from September 2024 to June 2025, the director received more than 1.1 million rubles from the orderly for an extraordinary examination of the bodies of the dead, issuing medical death certificates and issuing bodies for burial without an appointment. The investigation also believes that the manager registered the orderly for work using his brother's documents, since a criminal record prevented the man from being employed by a medical organization. My brother received his salary and social contributions, and a preferential length of service was created on his behalf. The cases will be heard by the Sverdlovsk District Court in Kostroma. The prosecutor's office also demands compensation of more than 2.4 million rubles. To secure the lawsuit, possible confiscation and fine, two cars worth 2.3 million rubles were seized, 6.1 million rubles from the manager and 165 thousand rubles from the bouncer.
