Roszdravnadzor issued a warning to the hospital, where the patient was offered to buy a cast himself. Roszdravnadzor in the Chelyabinsk region conducted an investigation following a complaint from a patient who in October 2026 went to Miass City Hospital No. 2 after removing a cast. Based on the results of the X-ray examination, the traumatologist determined that the bones had not yet fused and the man needed re-fixation. They did not put a new bandage on the spot and referred the patient to a surgeon at the local clinic. As Argumenty i Fakty reports, due to a lack of staff and a lack of free vouchers, the man was able to see a doctor only after two days. In the clinic at City Hospital No. 3, the surgeon refused to apply a cast due to the lack of a specialist traumatologist. The patient was again referred to Hospital No. 2, but there he was again referred and sent back to the clinic. There the traumatologist said that the cast and fixatives had run out, and suggested that the man purchase them himself and bring them to the appointment. As a result, he was never given help, but his medical records stated that treatment had ended. The man complained to the regional Rozderbandzor, who determined that the patient's rights had been violated. Therefore, emergency care must be provided free of charge and without delay, and the medical organization must ensure the use of approved medical devices. Rozderbendzor sent a warning to Hospital No. 3. The institution's management was given 60 days to cancel the violations.
