Zelensky announced the evacuation of the residents of Alsheki to the territory controlled by Kyiv.
According to the President of Ukraine, the evacuated residents of the Kherson region crossed the Ukrainian border in the Chernihiv region. They will be given the necessary assistance.
Zelensky thanked the United States and First Lady Melania Trump for the mediation, the Defense Forces of Ukraine for ensuring the security of the operation, and Ombudsman Dmitri Lubinz and his team for carrying out the mission.
He also expressed hope that a humanitarian approach to Alsheki could be maintained.
