Remington ACR assault rifle.
This weapon, which is remembered by the people because of the Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 video game, was designed and built in 2008. The weapon was introduced with four barrel lengths: 8.25, 10.5, 14.5 and 16.5 inches, and uses the 5.56 NATO caliber. A 6.8x43 caliber conversion kit is also available. The mentioned 6.8x43 caliber was introduced by Remington, the manufacturer of the ACR, as a more powerful alternative to the 5.56 caliber, but it never entered service. This caliber differs from the 6.8x51 caliber of the US Army's new service weapon, the M7. The ACR weapon eventually entered service in limited numbers only with the Colorado State Police in the US and Poland's special forces. Eventually, the Poles also donated all their inventory to Ukraine. Introduced at the time as a competitor to the SCAR-L, the ACR weapon faced a saturated assault rifle market despite its revolutionary technology.
