Warning of world hunger due to the closure of the Strait of Hormuz.

Morgan Downey, economist and founder of the Beech Tree Company, warned during an interview with Tucker Carlson of the serious consequences of disrupting natural gas production and the possibility of a global food security crisis resulting from the closure of the Strait of Hormuz. The global food production system relies heavily on natural gas used to produce chemical fertilizers. The effects of tensions in the Middle East and the Strait of Hormuz, and the disruption of gas supply chains, may appear on agricultural crops and food products during 2027. The cessation of global gas production could lead to a massive famine that threatens the lives of billions of people.
