Immediately after these agreements, in September 1984, a 13-member group of motivated young men, led by Hassan Tehrani Mojadam, went to the base of the Syrian Missile Brigade 155 to undergo an intensive training course. This team, known as the Hadid Group, faced a great challenge; They had to learn the complex knowledge of missile guidance, fueling and launching in less than three months, while standard courses for these weapons in the former Soviet Union took more than a year. At the same time, logistical activity within the country was quickly conducted to receive the first shipment of missiles, which arrived from Libya in the late fall of 1984.
